Here is Where We Met

Written in 2019 for flute, bass clarinet, and piano (12 minutes)

Written for the Borderlines Trio – a group of extremely talented, then-undergrads from Bowling Green State University. Here is where we met was written and completed at the end of 2019, which final rehearsals taking place right before COVID hit. Since then, the piece remained rather untouched until late in 2020 when I recorded it with Alaina and Brian. I think it’s a pretty good piece, but the recording here is of a tragic quality.

 Anyway, as so many things in life, the Borderlines Trio would graduate and move on to other things however, they left behind a great website and resource:

 “Because of the COVID-19 virus […] We chose to develop this website that is a database for flute, clarinet, piano repertoire. We hope that this resource will be useful for other trios in the future.”
